Mike Sacks is a proud Westchester dad driven to build a new House from the wreckage of Mike Lawler and Donald Trump.

A lawyer-turned-television reporter, Sacks spent 15 years in journalism as the Supreme Court Correspondent for the Huffington Post, political reporter at Fox 5-NY, and National Political Correspondent for Scripps-owned news stations across the country. He was awarded an Emmy for his coverage of the George Floyd protests and his work was regularly featured in outlets including the New York Times, CNN, and MSNBC.

A nationally recognized expert on the Supreme Court, he has covered legal battles over Obamacare, same sex marriage, and has become a well-known Supreme Court watchdog bringing greater transparency to the politicalization of the court under the Roberts era. His sharp legal analysis and engaging writing quickly gained attention, making him a trusted voice on the intersection of law, politics, and public policy.

His reporting and advocacy  has centered on institutional accountability — covering some of the biggest stories in recent history — the COVID-19 pandemic, the insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th, and  the elimination of abortion rights by the US Supreme Court.

Mike has always lived by the idea that the truth isn’t dead if we don’t let it die. He’s running for Congress to not only tell the truth about what’s happening, but to stop Donald Trump from stealing from the People’s House to make the rich richer with Mike Lawler’s help. He is running to defend Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. He’s running to realign our politics to the people — not the billionaires. He knows it’s time for the Democratic Party to be bold, stand for something — and back it up.

A single dad, Mike lives in Croton-on-Hudson with his two boys. He’s active in his son’s three basketball leagues, plays softball with the Westchester Synagogue Brotherhood Softball League, and is a proud union member in SAG-AFTRA. He holds a J.D. from Georgetown Law, B.A. from Duke University.
