Since then, mass shootings have become a tragically regular feature of American life, Republican legislators have obstructed—and right-wing judges have struck down—lifesaving gun safety laws, and parents like Mike receive emails from their kids' schools notifying them about every lockdown drill's completion.
The Sacks Agenda
- Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Weapons of war have no place on our streets.
- Implement universal background checks and close the 'gun show loophole' and 'boyfriend loophole'.
- Pass federal 'Red Flag' laws to keep guns out of the hands of those who pose a danger to themselves or others.
- End legal immunity for gun manufacturers. They should be held liable for the carnage they profit from.
- Invest in community violence intervention programs that address the root causes of violence.
